Clerical Service Contractor – All Employees & Clerical

Description

Code 8803 applies to employers engaged in providing accounting, auditing, computer programming, or related clerical services for a fee. This classification includes services provided at the client’s location.

Assignment by Analogy

• Court stenographers
• Hotel management consultants – not employed by hotel
• Management consultants

Operations to be Separately Rated

  1. Insurance companies:
    1. Premium auditors.  Refer to Code 8723 “Insurance Companies & Clerical, Salespersons.”
    2. Adjustors and inspectors.  Refer to Code 8720 “Inspection of Risks for Insurance or Valuation Purposes – NOC.”

  2. Employers who employ individuals to perform accounting, auditing, computer programming, or
    related clerical services for their own business.  Refer to Code 8810 “Clerical Office Employees – NOC” unless the basic classification includes clerical.
