Florist - Cultivating or Gardening & DriversDescription
Code 0035 applies to employers engaged primarily in growing flowers, plants or vegetables from seeds, cuttings, spores, bulbs or corms, within the confines of temperature-controlled greenhouses.
Plants raised from seed may be transplanted several times before being potted for sale. At some point, plants may be placed out-of-doors in order to acclimate them to the weather, usually in pots or flats, but in some cases (usually bulbs and corms) they are placed in the ground. Operations include watering, fertilizing and spraying. Flowers may be cut for sale to florist stores.
