I am delighted to welcome you to the website of the New York Compensation Insurance Rating Board. I am certain you will find this site useful in obtaining information which will assist your company in performing the day-to-day activities which involve the business of workers compensation insurance in the state of New York.

            Our move to a new location in December of 2010 has enabled us, during the past year, to improve on our service to our members and provide our employees with a more updated and useful work facility. This has been evidenced, for example, by the recent implementation and wide carrier member participation in the Manage USR Program recently implemented by the Rating Board. 

            During 2012, the Rating Board plans to continue its examination of ways to improve member service, particularly for the policies the Board reviews on a daily basis. This, plus further research of the carrier’s Medical Data Call and the effect of the reform legislation on current system costs are at the top of the Board’s agenda for the coming year. Also, with stricter audit and inspection controls on the way, and teaming with other important system stakeholders, we hope to continue to provide the necessary information to bring this system forward to its second century of needed benefit delivery.
